When do you need module programming?

• After a replacement module from a salvage or new part — needs VIN coding and key re-learn.
• When a theft attempt damaged the ignition or receiver — modules often need re-pair.
• When a vehicle was jump-started improperly and a module lost configuration.
• When the dealer quoted thousands for a factory module — we can often clone the existing module to a used donor at a fraction of the cost.
• After a key or ignition issue where the module's security section was corrupted.

Cloning vs. virgin programming

Cloning copies your original module's EEPROM/flash into a donor, producing a drop-in replacement that requires no VIN-coding. Virgin programming takes a factory-new blank module and marries it to your VIN and key set. We choose whichever path is faster and cheaper for your vehicle.
